We aim to educate, encourage, coordinate, provide and resource the Church of Ireland in the promotion of Christ’s health and healing. Much of what we currently offer can be grouped in the categories below, but if you have an idea as to how we can support you, your parish, or diocese, we want to hear!
Training & Workshops
We offer customised training for dioceses and parishes that wish to equip lay people for prayer ministry within Services of Wholeness & Healing. This Training for Prayer Ministry emphasises reflective listening and best practice. Special workshops can also be requested, exploring specific kinds of prayer or other agreed topics.
Quiet Days, Retreats & Guest Speaker
Our Ministry Facilitator is available to speak at services or other events and to lead Quiet Days, integrating themes related to healing and/or the liturgical season. We have also initiated a series of one-day retreats, entitled Wellspring, incorporating Christian mindfulness. We have been offering Wellspring in St Patrick’s Church, Harbour Road, Dalkey, but due to the pandemic we are unable to offer it at present. Inspired by Wellspring, we have developed a presentation the Power of Presence, which we now offer via Zoom. If you would like to know more about it, please email the office. If you are interested in hosting an event, you can find more information here.
We consulted with healthcare chaplains to create beautiful, prayerful cards especially for use when ministering to those who are ill, distressed, or grieving. If you would like to request these materials, please contact the office. We also regularly publish reflections on the Journal page of our website.
